  • Step 1

    Form a circle of 9 Speks. Pinch a corner with your thumb and forefinger. Poke in the other side.

    The triangle is stable when the inner 6 speks touch. Repeat until you have 24 triangles.

  • Step 2

    Connect 5 triangles like so. They should align, not interlock. (Color added for clarity.)


  • Step 3

    Connect the two triangles that are not touching to form a pentagon. This shape will no longer be flat.


  • Step 4

    Add another triangle to the bottom of the pentagon. Repeat 3 times to create 4 irregular pentagons total.


  • Step 5

    Connect two irregular pentagons together along the seam, making sure they align. Repeat with the other two. Now you have two halves of the heart.

  • Step 6

    From one half one, remove two Speks from either side. Leave the other half as it is.

  • Step 7

    Attach the two halves together along the edges.

  • Step 8

    Gently pinch the top of the heart together to align the remaining Speks.

  • The End.

    All done! Leave the heart as-is in order for it to stand up on a flat surface, or add a final Spek to the bottom to complete it.
